Double Wall Trench Shields (DWTS) is a heavy-duty aluminum shield with smooth straight walls.  Its heavy-duty construction and use of adjustable steel spreaders allows for greater depth ratings, greater durability, a more clear span area to work in, and higher pipe clearance then lightweight shields.  The aluminum design makes it a great lightweight alternative to steel trench shields for job sites with smaller machines.
